Announcement of the commencement of a building permit
PVO-Vesivoima Oy has submitted a building permit application to the municipality of Ii for the construction of a fish farming hall with a floor area of 5199 m² and a volume of 905460 m³. The fish farming hall is 116,9 meters long, 48,4 meters wide and 7,6 meters high.
The construction area is below the Iin Raasakka power plant on property 139-401-33-0, at Käyränlenkki 50.
The area is subject to the expansion of the Ii central district master plan for 2025.
In the plan, the area is marked EN, i.e. an energy supply area.
The area is home to fish farming operations related to the Raasakka hydroelectric power plant, which implements the fisheries obligations of hydropower production. The construction project concerns the development of existing fish farming operations by covering the breeding ponds with a hall structure. The project does not change the intended use of the existing operations, but supports the implementation of the fisheries obligations already practiced in the area.
The announcement of the construction permit application with attached documents will be available on the Ii municipality website starting June 18, 2026.
Neighbors and interested parties, as well as others whose living environment, work or other conditions may be significantly affected by the implementation of the project, are given the opportunity to obtain information about the application and to make a complaint or express an opinion regarding the project.
Construction project-specific complaints and opinions should be submitted to the Iin Municipality Building Control at the address Iin Municipality, Building Control, Piisiltä 1, 91100 Ii or electronically. registry [at] ii.fi (registry[at]ii[dot]fi) by 31.7.2026 at 15.00 p.m.
