Municipal early childhood education

Applying for early childhood education is done electronically through the Daisy service. Early childhood education places are available all year round.

Submit the application no later than four months before the child needs an early childhood education place. If the start date of the need for care is not predictable and the need for an early childhood education place is due to sudden employment or a sudden admission to a university, the place must be applied for as soon as possible, but no later than two weeks before the need for early childhood education begins.

Daisy service 
With the help of the eDaisy electronic early childhood education service, guardians can, among other things, apply for an early childhood education place, submit income statements, and terminate their child's early childhood education place.

You always log in to eDaisy through the Suomi.fi service with strong authentication, i.e. either with bank credentials or a mobile certificate.
The Daisy service is used to apply for an early childhood education place and to make various notifications related to early childhood education services.

Private early childhood education

To apply for private early childhood education, contact the private daycare center directly. Once a care place has been agreed with the private service provider, a service voucher application is made in the Daisy online service at: https://ii.daisynet.fi/eDaisy
