Catering services

The mission of catering services is to provide safe, diverse and high-quality meal packages for their customer groups, children, young people and adults. Menus are designed according to recommendations, to meet the nutritional needs of diners of different ages and to provide pleasure and experiences. The planning takes into account the positive impact of food on the health and well-being of our customers, and the selection of food ingredients takes into account locality and sustainable development. Iin catering services meals are heart-brand meals. The basis for planning our menus is food recommendations.

Special dietary requirements can be provided for either health or religious reasons. Special diet notification must be based on the opinion of a doctor, nurse or dietitian. The notification and opinion are submitted to the kitchen staff of the dining venue.

Conference room Merta
Address: Suvantolantie 3, Ii (next to the central kitchen). 

The Mertaa conference room can be booked/rented for associations, companies and other small-scale events via the Outlook booking calendar or from the municipality's customer service point, tel. 050 310 3458. The conference room has seating for 30 people. The room is equipped with a large wall screen (AV equipment), a flip chart and internet access.

If you wish, you can book a separate meeting catering service from Merta Kitchen. For meeting catering reservations, call 040 4863 408 or 050 3950 508.

The Merta meeting room is available for rental Mon - Fri 8:00 - 20:00, price 20 €/h. Other special orders at other times by separate arrangement.

Sale of surplus food
Municipal surplus food can be purchased from the following places:

• Valtari School (Koulutie 2, not during school holidays)
• Hamina School (Kirkkotie 5, not during school holidays)
• Kuivaniemi School (Opintie 30, not during school holidays)

We have switched to Ceepos mobile tickets for purchasing meal tickets. Ceepos Mobile Payment is a payment application that can be downloaded to a smartphone. A receipt for each purchase is saved on the customer's phone.

The Ceepos Mobile Payment application can be downloaded for Android devices from the Google Play store or for Apple devices from the App Store. Ceepos Mobile Payment requires at least Android version 4.4 to work. The Apple App Store only works with the iOS version specified by Apple. The application can be found by searching for Ceepos or Ceepos Mobile Payment.

Kitchen space rental

Cleaning services

The primary purpose of cleaning services is to take care of the maintenance of properties through cleaning methods and to be responsible for the comfort of the customers' working environment. Cleaning pays attention to the use of energy, water and detergents. Cleaning uses environmentally friendly products and water-saving practices, and we strive to increase robotics in the production of our services. In schools, we have switched to daily cleaning as a result of the development of operations.
