School transport

Iikka is open to all passengers. 
Iikka operates on weekdays mornings and afternoons between Kuivaniemi, Olhava and Ii, enabling, for example, high school students to get a ride to Ii. Iikka also operates once a week in the Ojakylä, Oijärvi, Jakkuranta, Jakkukylä and Seljanperä areas.

The timetables and routes are valid from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. However, the Kuivaniemi – Ii service is not operated during school holidays.

You can board the Iikka bus at the stops marked on the schedule. You can also board and disembark at pre-arranged locations along the route. The service has taken special care of the needs of elderly and mobility-impaired passengers, so that they can be picked up from their homes if necessary.

The current cash payment option uses the Waltti payment system, familiar from Oulu region public transport. The system enables interchange connections on Oulu region public transport buses.

Iikka price list
Prices are based on the Oulu region's transport zone price list. For example, when paying with a bank card or a Waltti card value ticket, the price of a trip within one zone is €2,05 (e.g. Jakkukylä – Ii) and between two zones is €4,05 (e.g. Kuivaniemi - Ii). The prices of single tickets purchased with cash within one zone are €3,30 and between two zones is €5,80. Wheelchair passengers and their escorts, as well as veterans, can travel free of charge in Iika.

If you travel by bus a few times a week, it is worth loading money or value onto your Waltti travel card. You can load value onto the card from the Waltti online store or the Iisi Arena ticket machine, as well as at other sales points in the Oulu region. It is also possible to load a 30- or 90-day season ticket onto the Waltti card, which allows you to travel unlimitedly on public transport in the Oulu region in the travel zones you choose.
In Oulu region public transport, you can change buses without additional charge within the transfer period. Stamp your travel card or show your single-use ticket to the driver when you change.

Iika can be ordered in advance by phone for short transfers, e.g. from home to a health center, shop or pharmacy. The operating times reserved for on-call transport are marked in the schedules for each weekday. Transports are carried out according to the routes formed by pre-orders. Due to the short time, on-call transport is mainly limited to the surroundings of Hamina and nearby villages. The customer is charged a fee for the transport according to the public transport zone pricing.

Meal delivery services

Meal delivery services throughout the municipality are provided by entrepreneurs who have a public transport, taxi or freight transport permit. The service is put out to tender and contracts are made for the provision of the service for periods of one or two years. The Procurement Act applies to the procurement.
